K - Bread Lady is coming, said goodbye practicum teachers - Sheila & Danielle
1 - Field trip to St. Albert - May 15, 16 - Prepping for Mother's Day
2 - Profiles coming in to build Inukshuks - May 1 (front) , 2 ( in classes)
3 - PAT written May 14th - lots of interruptions, using the multi-purpose rm a lot
4 - 4G/H to Bennett Centre on May 1st - all day, May 7th - Wolfpack Day - In June - 4C & 4W will go to the Bennett Centre,

Music News -May 6th will be Music Monday - MG will register for it, plan to wear a musically themed T-Shirt, Kathryn will do a writing project with Ali, LIT auditions - last week in May, June 6th - LIT Day.

Volunteer Lunch - A huge Success! Thanks to Kelli, Heather & Volunteer Committee.

Jump Rope for Heart - will not take place this year

2013-2014 Budget - projected on an increase of 30 students. If we do not have this increase there will be cuts made to the budget in September 30th.

  • Daytimers/planners - Discussion on purpose and usage. How much class time is spent on completing planners? Is it valued?
  • Tumble Books - Highly valued
  • Supplies - Less money available for purchasing
  • Professional Development - registration fees - $350/staff
  • Sub Days for professional development - 2 days/ teacher allotted

EA Boot Camp - Technology: Using multiple tools to reach students
Tamarack Room, Division Office
1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
During this professional development workshop you will look at and experiment with a number of different ways to reach students with technology. We will demonstrate some interesting ideas on the Smart Board – some introductory and a few advanced. We will look at some apps on the iPad and iPod. As there are so many apps out there, we’re hoping you will share some of your favorites too. We will also spend some time examining the accessibility aspect on these devices.
Participants will need to bring an Ipad, Ipod or Smartphone to this session.
